Morass, for Eadburh and the lepers of Yakutia

Princess Eadburh, Queen Cynethryth’s daughter who accidentally poisoned her husband, was doubly exiled, first to Francia and then to a penniless and homeless state in Pavia in present-day Italy. Morass recounts a similarly penniless and homeless journey to Pavia made by the artist amidst the forced eating of a pigeon-shaped tea cake.
